Green Hour — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Green Hour measures how time outside changes how you feel. This policy explains what data the app handles, who processes it, and how you can control it.

Green Hour has no account system and no server of its own. Your check-ins, ratings, notes, sessions and streaks are stored only on your device. We cannot see them, we never receive them, and there is nothing for you to log in to. The only data that reaches a third party comes from purchases, and only if you make one.

Who is responsible

Green Hour is made by Natasha Wilson, an independent app developer trading as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, Natasha Wilson is the data controller.

Data stored on your device only

The following is kept in local app storage, is never transmitted to us, and is deleted when you delete the app:

You can delete any individual session, along with its check-ins, from the History tab at any time. Deleting the app removes everything at once.

Apple Health

Green Hour can optionally import your outdoor workouts (walks, runs, rides, swims and hikes) so they become sessions without you having to log them by hand. This is read-only and entirely optional:

You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Settings app, under Privacy & Security, then Health, then Green Hour.

Location

Green Hour works fully without your location, and does not ask for it at launch. It is offered as an optional accuracy upgrade: with it, the app can show your real sunrise and sunset times instead of a rough estimate.

You can turn it off at any time from the same Settings toggle, or in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security, then Location Services.

Notifications

The daily reminder is opt-in. If you enable it, iOS asks your permission and the reminder is scheduled entirely on your device. No notification is sent from a server, because there is no server. If you decline, the app simply leaves the reminder off.

Purchases and subscriptions

Green Hour Plus is an optional subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are handled by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which processes:

This is the only data that leaves your device, and only if you make a purchase. It contains nothing about your check-ins, your ratings, your emotions or your notes. We never see or receive your payment card details — those go to Apple alone. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Green Hour also offers a hardship unlock: if the price is a barrier, tapping "Can't afford it?" on the paywall grants Plus on your device. This requires no proof, no email address and no account, and nothing at all is sent anywhere when you use it.

No advertising, no tracking, no analytics

Green Hour shows no ads of any kind. It does not track you across apps or websites, does not use advertising identifiers, and includes no third-party analytics or attribution software. There is no behavioural profiling, and your data is never sold or shared with data brokers.

Summary of third parties

ServicePurposeApplies when
RevenueCat Managing subscriptions and entitlements You open the paywall or make a purchase
Apple Processing payments, App Store delivery You make a purchase

That is the complete list. Apple Health and Location are on-device system services, not third parties we send data to.

Children

Green Hour is a general-audience wellbeing app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will act on it.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Because Green Hour has no account system and stores everything only on your device, the fastest way to erase everything we could possibly hold is to delete individual sessions in the app, or delete the app entirely.

For data held by our processors, contact us at flourishtechcoaching@gmail.com and we will pass the request on. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Data retention

On-device data is kept until you delete it or delete the app. Data held by Apple and RevenueCat is retained according to their own published policies, linked above.

A note on what Green Hour is not

Green Hour is a wellbeing tool. It does not diagnose or treat anything, and it is not a medical device. Your check-ins are your own record of how you feel, kept for you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
